APA board

Post by cbowser814 »

I understand from my research that the APA board is supposed to be used to connect the PBX to the public network through an analog signal. I currently have a 1U chassis with a GD-3, a LANX16 and an APA4 installed (0,2,1). What I want to do is to be able to use the ports on the APA4 board as simple analog ports. I want to be able to assign them extensions using mgr, just like any other analog extension. Is this possible? And if so, how should I configure it. So far everytime I've tried I've either gotten "bad address" or PROCFAIL_1553. I tried looking up the error code but didn't get anywhere. If I have to replace the APA board with an analog board I will but if anyone can help me use the APA for this I would appreciate it very much.

Thanks in advance

Not possible. You need SLI board for FXS ports. APA holds FXO ports.
