Add 51 and 52 port after update

Hello.
I updated AOS on OS6850-48X. After that detected two new ports in AOS:
1/51 disable down none 0 0 0 ""
1/52 disable down none 0 0 0 ""
What does it mean? Why do we need these ports?

do you have 6850 or 6850E? If 6850E: have you installed the module OS6-XNI-U2 (10gig-fibre).
this two ports are the stacking ports in an 6850E with that module inside. Never seen without that module. With the module you have the possibility to set the port in uplink or stacking mode.

I have 6850. About 6850E, i had read hardware user guide 6.4.4 and on pages 3-30 have the table port numbering 6850E where information about 51 and 52 port. But in 6850, 51 and 52 port are not provided. Why does AOS show this information on 6850?

Hi,
both switches (6850 and 6850E) uses the same software. Today I'm able to check it at my own 6850E-24. this switch is in 6850-mode (note 6850E) - and also I do see port 1/25 and 1/26 as down.

I see it with:
show interfaces port

But don't see the ports in:
show spantree ports
show vlan port

So this is only a hardware information without function in my switch. I can't do any configuration at the ports ....
> vlan 1 port default 1/26
ERROR: Port does not exist

I see no problem with this both ports at output show interfaces port
