Hi

Can someone please assist me with the following error when I use the command "reset-firstsetup.sh" on opentouch server - !!!!ERROR!!!! : problem detected on Windows management SSH server, is the Virtualmachine running?
An error occurred when checking the environment.

I am logged in as root and VMOxe as well as VMmanagement is running.

I want to start the installation wizard again.

thanx.

SSH from OT host toward 8770 is documented everywhere
in install manual (last chapter)
in release note (upgrade 1.0 to 1.1 or 1.2

if SSH OT to 8770 does not work
of course reset first setup cannot reset 8770 data

try the SSH from OT host: by ssh ice@IPaddressof8770
if fails the above doc give you hints on what to change

Some note about troubleshooting
hope it helps in case you face some OT confiugration or setup issue

most of the issue description you got (error message ) should be enough for testing the error and investigate
here
if SSH does not work between OT (where you launch the script) and VMmanagement
the test of having the VMmanagement running is obviously not complete,
you need also to succeed in SSH OT => VMManagement as the error message tell you

My opinion is that most of ot issue can be solved by basic knowledge of the architecture
what are the componant involved : OXE, Ot host, 8770 VM ?
do you know their IP ?
is DNS well setup to answer to DNS querry and give the correct component ip ?

when this question are answered ,
most of the issue will get solved or if not you will have the faulty componant (and not being lost in the complexity of the product)
think also that a sniffer / whireshark can help you in detection of bad IP communication
no need to use large amount of log file if your error is an incorrect ip setup

of course it may be a real bug, that require analysis

Hi Corwin

thanx for the feedback.
I think the error might have been on the DNS.
I started the install over completely by loading linux and all VMware etc. I picked up a DNS error and resolved it and now everything seems to be fine...i am still busy with install so will see how it goes.
