Stacking 2 OmniSwitch

Hello everyone,

I would like to put 2 OS6450-U24-EU in a stack configuration, and i want to know if there is a specific stack cable required for that, or do i just need to use normal fiber links?

For stacking with 6450 you must buy the stacking module (OS6450-XNI-U2) which are inserted on the back of the switch. This module house two sfp+ Slots, which for stacking work with the stacking cables.

AFAIK Stacking over Fiber is not supported, not sure if remote stacking (like on 6850) will be supported in the future.

Stacking cables are Direct Attach Copper (you can e.g. use them for connecting OS6900) so it may work with longer DAC cables.. but if it fails TAC will probably not help you.

in addition to the correct infos from devnull:
for stacking also the DAC up to 7meters are released (beside the 60cm/1m).
Remote stacking with SFP+ via fibre will be released with 6.6.4 in next month (I hope in Q2).
