I don't know on alcatel, help please.

I'm not sure since the cisco "ip host" command allows you to create an alias, maybe try
alias STRING 10.29.XX.XX

Alias on Alcatel's just allow you make an description..
the ip host on cisco allow you to define a name for an ip..
i.e: ip host ciscco.com 192.168.20.1
if you tape : ping cisco.com, it will ping 192.168.20.1.

yep, as well as in AOS:
alias "cisco.com" 192.168.20.1
if you tape : ping cisco.com, it will ping 192.168.20.1
