STP - /Spanning tree/ or DHL /dual-home link/

Hello,

I have one question about STP and DHL .
If I am really understand DHL /dual-home link/ is pretty same as STP. I have 3 switches whit one main and one secondary connection. To prevent loops I can use STP or DHL. What do you think is the best way?

I'd go for STP but probably only becasue I'm used to it

DHL provides much faster re-convergence times than STP.
