alcatel 4059 - PC compatibility

Post by carabina5 »

Hi everyone,
I check the PC list of the last version of omnidesktop (5.0.3) and I found these:

– HP Compaq DC7700 CMT,
– HP Compaq DC7600 CMT,
– HP Compaq DC7100 SFF/CMT,
– HP Compaq D530 SFF/CMT,
– Compaq EVO D510,
– HP VL Series 8, HP VL 400,
– Compaq Deskpro
are not more available from the italian supplier. My customer can't buy one of this model, so, I need a new list, updated with available models. I tried with an HP DX2003M (update model by HP), but it doesn't reconnaise the keyboard.

My customer agree to buy one of the list, but they are unavailable (too old), last mobel was put out of sell 6 mounth ago (in Italy). So, anyone know an updated list?

How can I do?

Thank you

I have always used dell pc's and haven't had any problems. Know that it will be unsupported by Alcatel if they find out.

As I wrote in another Topic, the BIOS of the HP Compaq PCs was modified.
I had also problems in the past with IBM PC's.
The power was too low to power the Multimeadiakeyboard correctly.

This is still the latest white-list as far as I know.
Next time order the 4059 PC at Alcatel-Lucent.
You may pay more, but you can always start an eSR ifthere are problems.

We have had problems with several IBM, Dell and 'white'-label pc's.
That is why we start ordering the PC's at Alcatel-Lucent.

4059 Keyboard should run as ordinary keyboard once you plug it on USB port, if not you need to replace the PC.

It is strange because the NUM key works, i have tried another PC. Unfortunately they are all HP but different models. I tried another USB keyboard, re-installed both the keyboard and 4059. On MGR i removed the 4059IP and re-created it. Incoming calls can be answered with the F1 key. The problem is the numbers.
