Creating PRA2 and getting "Bad Media Gateway Board Type"

Post by safthai »

Good morning to all!

Dear Experts and Gurus,

First of all, thanks to all of you for spending your time helping people like me through this wonderful board. The knowledge base here is so huge that I have started a new "Common Hardware System" without posting any messages, just by browsing the threads, searching for the solutions and procedures. The PABX is operational locally.

But I am stuck now, I am trying to create a PRA T2 in Common Hardware OmniPCX and getting the error "Board Address: Bad Media Gateway Board Type". I have tried through mgr and 4760 but the result is the same error. I am trying to create it (if fact, I have 2 of them which were provided as PCM but we need PRA2 so, following Guru VAd instructions I made them PRA2) on 2-6 (the main shelf) and 3-6.

Does it mean that I need ABCF protocol license? Or is it because the PCM "ops files" are still sitting on these slots?

Thank you and best regards,

Safthai

For board creation - you not need licenses.

Wat type of board you create exactly - as I remember for PRA T2 board you need to select in management MG-PRA E1

Oh it the Guru Vad!

Thank you.

I have tried to select PRA and PRA2. I do not see any option for MG-PRA E1

I am in my office now and I will go back to the site to double check.

Thanks again.

Ok, it is done!

It was all my fault, I never thought that there are more types of boards on the right side! And I was working on it for many days...

Thank you Vad, your small tip saved my day!
