ipTouch phone connect: network home an office

Post by Jokerx123 »

Hi,

I'm having a problem with an ipTouch Phone. It works fine in the network in my office.
The Routers IP is: 192.168.1.1, the pcx has 192.168.1.200 and my phone has 192.168.1.203. Everything well so far.

Well, today I did an VPN Connection from my home to my office. The router @home hast 192.168.178.1. I tested the tunnel and could ping the 192.168.1.200 omnipcx in the Office (Nice!!!), while working on a local PC @home with the IP 192.168.178.23. I found it amazing an then the problem was there:

I put the phone into my router @home and at last it says tftp error....

The end is now, that nearly everything is workling, a can ping the omnipcx in the Office although I'm in another IP-Network, but the telefone cannot connect - where is my mistake?

Thank you, Marc

Have you configure a local IP Address to you phone. ( 192.168.178.xx )
Seems the IP Parameters on your phone are wrong.

How did you setup the VPN tunnel? From PC or directly from your router?
The ip phone will never work if you set it up from the PC.
If your router opened the VPN tunnel, you have to change the ip config of your phone to match you internal network, 192.168.78.x for the phone with 192.168.178.1 as default gateway.

Good luck.
