Hi,
I have monitored one stack of eight switches and am receiving these traps randomly.
alaStackMgrNeighborChangeTrap(loop)
ALCATEL-IND1-STACK-MANAGER-MIB::alaStackMgrNeighborChangeTrap, alaStackMgrStackStatus: loop, alaStackMgrSlotNINumber: 1, alaStackMgrTrapLinkNumber: linkA27
Could you please tell me which can cause these listings?
thanks

Re: alaStackMgrNeighborChangeTrap(loop)
I would guess it indicates whether your stack has a loop (redundant stacking cable) or the loop is not given (on stacking-link is open)
Waht does a show stack topology on the stack show? re-seat the cable (probably the one in Port "A" on slot 1)

Re: alaStackMgrNeighborChangeTrap(loop)
Ok.
This is what shows:
show stack topology
Link A Link A Link B Link B
NI Role State Saved Link A Remote Remote Link B Remote Remote
Slot State NI Port State NI Port
----+-----------+--------+------+-------+-------+-------+-------+-------+-------
1 PRIMARY RUNNING 1 UP 2 StackB UP 8 StackA
2 SECONDARY RUNNING 2 UP 3 StackB UP 1 StackA
3 IDLE RUNNING 3 UP 4 StackB UP 2 StackA
4 IDLE RUNNING 4 UP 5 StackB UP 3 StackA
5 IDLE RUNNING 5 UP 6 StackB UP 4 StackA
6 IDLE RUNNING 6 UP 7 StackB UP 5 StackA

Re: alaStackMgrNeighborChangeTrap(loop)
This is the way it should look like.
Do you get "noLoop" traps as well? In my case i have always seen noLoop followed by "loop" traps.
-> Open a SR if this persists.

Re: alaStackMgrNeighborChangeTrap(loop)
Since I've checked the cables, so far I have not received more traps.
I'll leave it in observation.
(maybe had a bad contact)
Thanks
