SR1 bricked after failed upgrade

I had to return it for a RMA. I'm waiting for it to be back.

Ok so the router was back from RMA on new year's eve, but the "on-call" storage clerk did not informed me that it was back... Now up & running in my lab!

The router is actually not the same, so I guess it was either easier to ship another one instead of fixing the old one, or not possible at all to fix it.

In the box was a paper from ALu saying that one should not attempt to downgrade the firmware to a version older that the v9 installed

This is really stupid, as SR-OS 12 doesn't support this platform, it shouldn't have upgraded the boot loader. It didn't even asked human interaction and upgraded it without asking...

yeah, said the guy who didn't read the damn changelog.
why not stick with win98 and your old hardware?
