OXE WMI interface

Post by murraya »

hi Guy's, I have been asked to quote a WMI interface for one of our customers. the customer is looking at the injexo application and it already has the interface compatible with OXE WMI.
I cant seem to find any information on how or what is required from the OXE side. I see on the application partner website that the interface provides the IEX tickets that the app requires but as I'm not an application partner I do not have access to those docs.
I know that first we require the WMI license ( I have this in the lab for testing) but I do not know what else is required from my end i.e. how do I make the interface store files as IP (for V24 I would set a port as WMI and the tickets would be spat out) but from what I read so far on IP it creates files and FTP is used to get them. dose the PABX push the files or is there a middle ware used to get the flies and save on the customer network?

any docs or info would be great.
Best Regards
Murray

Hi,

You have two ways to work with WMI interface:

1/By FTP. you have to setup an external FTP server and after configuring the OXE as FTP client, OXE will produce regular tickets to your FTP server

2/ By V24. In this mode, your external machine connected through a V24 link to OXE will receive all data

I hope that help

hi, thanks for the reply, I should have added a comment that I gained access to the docs (by registering to the app program) and have configured okay now. It's a pity that the docs are locked to the app partner site when the config need to be don on the OXE :(
One thing I discovered is that you need to create a moxa box as using ttys2 or s3 would not work for FTP connection. (common hardware). you don't need to have a moxa but just configure one and add the ftp options on any of the 4 ports created.

Is paid I guess for the level of docs requested. As for why on APP, well it is not a PBX module, is on application level :S
Sounds awful but is like that

the good news was that they provided free as we are a bp.
I filled in the registration saying that I wanted access to the site to be assist in connecting to 3rd party apps already developed.
give it a try and see if you too can get free access. it took about a week for a response but they sent me an email with the below.....

Dear Sir,

Your candidacy in the ALE Application Partner Program (AAPP) has been evaluated and we are pleased to inform you that you have been selected as a registered company on Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise

As a Business Partner, please note that your program fees are waived
In a few days, you will receive your personal access to connect to our private website

We are looking forward to our future collaboration and we thank you again for your interest.
