External Power Supply and PoE max power

Dear All,

I have a OS6450-P24 w/ internal AC power 550W

Using command : show lanpower 1, it displays "Slot 1 Max Watts 410"

If I connected another external power supply of 550W, will my Slot 1 Max Watts become 820 instead of 410 ?

Or the external power supply can only used for redundancy purpose ?

The Backup PS is only for redundance. There are no more PoE Budged. Only with OS6860 there are the possibility of poe loadsharing between both PS.
But in most cases 400W for 24 ports is enough. A phone needs 4..6W, AP 10..15W.
