7x50 SROS 10.R19 Bugs

Hi Everyone,

I need information about this OS. When I Trial, there is several problem:

1. When upgrade to this OS, old IOM (eg: IOM1,) can up after upgrade. The IOM is note detected.
2. SFP+ sometime is not detected. I using IMM 12 port 10G SFP+, then try insert SFP+ ZR, result is SFP is note detected after installing. No display about DDM, and sometimes SFP is not active
3. BFD session is not stability, due upgrade link. After upgrade link from 1G to 10G, static bfd stuck in init state.

Anyone have information of bugs about this release version? Let me know.

The first place to look for bugs is in the resolved issues and known limitations sections in the latest R10 Release Notes.

I've read the latest minor version of Release Information (eg: 10R20) but I can't find the relevant bugs like I mention above.

There was a Technical Alert (14-1318b) published about specific Alcatel ZR XFPs not initialising but not SFP+ optics and it only affected specific releases of R11. You could try the same workarounds from that: a "clear card x soft" to see if it initialises or try reseating the optic.

I don't have any experience of IOM1s but I haven't met the BFD issue you describe when running R10.

About the BFD, Have you tried? Yeah I am not sure about this.. it is bug or not. But I've trial in my Lab and I found this issue.

Yes, first started using R10 on 7750s that run BFD about 3 years ago and never saw the issue you describe.

You talked about upgrading a link from 1GE to 10GE. Are you sure it's not related to that? Have you verified there is actually end-to-end layer 3 connectivity across the 10GE link as the BFD problem may be the symptom rather than the cause.

When I try in 10R7 it's OK. But when I do minor upgrade to 10R19 then do upgrade link. This issue is triggered. what kind of minor release do you use?
