QS-QNI-U3 cables
Hi all, have qs-qni-u3 modules in 6900's with qspf-40g-sr sfps, i thought these used MTP(M) cables (type b) to connect together 2 6900's for VC but cannot get link up, any ideas ??
Re: QS-QNI-U3 cables
You need MPO (or MTP) female connector for direct QSFP+ connection.
Pin 1-4 for RX and Pin 9-12 for TX
this means:
MTP-A PIN 1 ------- MTP-B PIN 12
MTP-A PIN 2 ------- MTP-B PIN 11
...
hope that will help.
regards
Silvio

Re: QS-QNI-U3 cables
You need a cable that "fits" into the QSFP Ports
I used cables similar to http://mtp-cables.com/MTP_MPO_fan_out_b ... _cable.htm and connected the ports as Silvio explained (Crossing Fiber 1 with 12, 2 with 11, 3 with 10 .. leaving the two middle pairs unused.

Re: QS-QNI-U3 cables
Hi,
in my knowledge you need female-female. At MPO connector male means equipped with pins and female without pins. If you see in the QSFP-Module two pins (beside the 2x6 connectors) than you need female.
