Pimphony on Windows 8.1

Post by muntedewok »

Good morning guys,

I was wondering if anyone had had any issues with Pimphony 6.3.2030 or similar, not working on Windows 8.1 ? User running Outlook 2010 locally also.

I've got it configured on a terminal server running 2008 R2 at the moment with Outlook 2010 and works fine, however I've configured this on a clients local machine as well and whilst I can dial a number directly from Pimphony, I can't initiate a call from Outlook Contacts, it throws the following error:

"An Internal error occurred in the automatic phone dialler. Close the Dial Phone dialogue box, and then open it again"

Now I've seen this error pop up on the terminal server before, and I just had the user log out and back in and no further issues, however cannot get it to work at all from the users local profile.

Thanks in advance for any assistance,

Chris

Hi

PIM Phony 6.3 is not compatible with Windows 8.1. You must use at least PIM Phony 6.8_3125, better is 6.8_3180.

Thanks for the update, appreciated.

I'm not familiar with the licensing aspect of the product at all, so how would one go about obtaining this version as opposed to the version my client is currently using?

Contact the guy who sold you the OXO. If you have support contract shouldn't have problem getting update. Or maybe as a favor.
