It may work. I have not tested on R7 and below. Dont have any customers on R7 or below. I have them working on 4635J (VPU5/6) and 4635H ( VPM35) on R8.0 and above for the cheap ass customers.

Your option can be to extract backup and then upgrade/reinstall(have backup sbr.sbz to restore) to R5.6.5 and then test. Perhaps load a new harddrive without making any changes to the existing one just in case.

You will have to upgrade anyways as the date and time functions will be back in 1984 and you will not be able to delete your messages, causing the voicemails to clog up and crash the system after the hard drives get full eventually.

Note voicemails recieved after Nov 24 and issue fixed prior to march 2016 upon upgrade to R5.6.5 will have time stamp as 2010. But all new messages should be fine.

Good idea for your customer to pay and have it done correctly.

I can also provide a quote for performing the task onsite or via remote support - you will need ethernet cable/serial cable etc).
