console connection problem

Hi all,

i can't connect to console to access to omniswitch 6450 i followed the user guide . ethernet straght through cable -> rj45 to db9 adapter -> serial to usb cable . this cable work fine with omnipcx enterprise R11.

I am new to this forum and Alcatel Lucent Products, I just installed OS6450-48 in my lab and when I connected using console port I only can see dots and charectors.

Use the supplied adapter, set the console-connection to 9600/8/N/1 and it should work with a switch that comes out of the box.

You should of course see characters on the console (something like "login:" aso )
