SNMP configuration

Hi,

I am trying to configure snmp at switch os6450, and then when I am trying to access switch status from a particular station I am not able to get. Seem like snmp is not working or authorising my workstation.

Can you help me with guidance, kindly remember I am new to ALU.

snmp v1, v2 or v3? what did your management system use?

I'm facing the same issue, I'm using opensnmp to being monitoring by snmp (snmp V1, V2c, v3)

using the command:

snmpget -c public -t 5 -v 1 10.84.1.11:161 .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.2
Timeout: No Response from 10.84.1.11:161.

This issue only happened with 6450 alcatel switch, with 6850 snmp is working fine.

is there something that I'm forgetting to do?

is aaa and also the ip service for snmp enabled ?
