Passive config on interface

Under interface config below

interface "to-WIFI Management"
passive
no shutdown

Need to know what does passive config mean?

I guess this is under OSPF or ISIS configuration context.

It will in that case mean that it will advertise the L3 information to the IGP protocol, but not send HELLO to try to establish neighborship on that interface.

I am new to 7750 context.
ITs under the ospf context.
