Hello Guys,
Can someone please guide me on how to reset an Alcatel lucent node (SAS X) to factory default?.
My second question is what is the difference between Spoke-SDP and Targeted LDP (TLDP)?.
Thanks you all ion advance?
SAS X to Factory Default, Spoke-SDP and TLDP
Re: SAS X to Factory Default, Spoke-SDP and TLDP
See this thread in the 7210 forum for reseting the config.
An SDP is a logical abstraction that allows you to tunnel traffic for a service across a network. A targeted LDP session is one thing that allows you to do this using MPLS (for example for an epipe service) but there are other encapsulations such as GRE that do not use MPLS at all. A targeted LDP session is for an LDP neighbour that is not adjacent.
For the definition of a spoke SDP, from the SR OS Services Guide:
"When an SDP is bound to a service, it is bound as either a spoke SDP or a mesh SDP. The type of SDP indicates how flooded traffic is transmitted. A spoke SDP is treated like the equivalent of a traditional bridge “port” where flooded traffic received on the spoke SDP is replicated on all other “ports” (other spoke and mesh SDPs or SAPs) and not transmitted on the port it was received."

Re: SAS X to Factory Default, Spoke-SDP and TLDP
Hello mivens,
I appreciate you as usual. Thanks for the reply to the SDP subject but my first question was forgotten it or no idea?.
I just want to default the router (SAS X) model to factory default before putting in new configs, any idea?.
Thanks...

See this thread in the 7210 forum for reseting the config on a SAS.
You rename the config file referenced in the BOF (or point the BOF to a non-existent config file) then reload the switch. It will come back up with a default configuration when it can't find the config file.

Thank you so much all, I am most grateful.
mivens sorry I didn't see your link for the defaulting a node before my response.
Thanks to all and God bless!!
