Voicemail - Overflow on associate / Busy Error message

Team,

I have an issue that I am stumped with. Voicemail...

Here is our system

Omnivista 4760
Server 4760.5.2.01.03
Client 4760.5.2.01.03
Java SM Inc 1.6.0_21

Voicemail - 8770 ?
AdminServer version 5.0-099.001
DataAccess version 5.0-108.001
LDAP Version 5.0-108.001
SQL version 5.0-107.000

When the check box Overflow on associate is tick voicemail works and take messages as per standard with the exception of when the line is busy. We get a part error message and a beep ("The line you are calling is busy (sounds like) percent ambersand") BEEP - if someone talks after the beep then we get the message.

If I take off Overflow on associate and tick Overfl. busy to assoc.set the busy issue is resovled however the phone rings out to our reception and not to voicemail.

to add to the fustration, if the reception phone is diverted out of hours - 5pm to 8am everyday with the overflow on associate off and the Overfl. busy to assoc.set on - everything works as you would expect it (the way we want it to).

All these changes are being made in OMNIVISTA under the number being called "Dynamic state User"

Any help on resolving this would be great.

What the associated number of that extension?
Now grab that number and dial it. What is it? An extension or the voice mail system?

And BTW you have an OXE system, Omnivista is just a GUI. 4760 is phased out

The associated number is the voice mail number, when dialing that number it prompts for your password to access voice mail.

Yes the system is outdated, we got a quote to have it updated. I am pushing for it however the powers above are struggling.. So we have the system we have and in theory should still work.

Its not so much the number that its going to, its about the diffences in what happens when the call rings out and not answered to when the call is busy.

Any help would be great.

Anyone got any ideas to why we would be having this issue or have some idea of where to look

Can explain one more time - what is your problem.
What you manage
What is expected system behaviour and real

Some key point - call external or internal, to user or hunt group, reception managed as overflow number or present in Entity CDT.
