Why is 7750 log reports Errors?

Post by Eagleman »

Hi,
I just wondering if anyone could please explain to me why the log on a 7750 is report that an interface is down when it is not.
Here is the log but the interface 2/1/14 was never down.

PE1a# show log log-id 99 | match 2/1/14
77963 2016/09/16 16:06:16.44 BST WARNING: SNMP #2005 Base 2/1/14
"Interface 2/1/14 is operational"
77962 2016/09/16 16:04:53.92 BST WARNING: SNMP #2004 Base 2/1/14
"Interface 2/1/14 is operational"
77954 2016/09/16 12:27:18.84 BST MINOR: PORT #2005 Base Port 2/1/14
77953 2016/09/16 12:27:05.23 BST MINOR: PORT #2006 Base Port 2/1/14
77952 2016/09/16 12:26:56.38 BST WARNING: SNMP #2004 Base 2/1/14
"Interface 2/1/14 is not operational"

Secondly, i need help on how to generate SDP ID on SAM 5620.

Thank you all in advance!!

Well, you've got port events #2006 "SFPRemoved" and #2005 "SFPInserted" so did someone take the transceiver out?

Worth looking at the log entries around the time the interface went not operational and operational again.
