eBGP and OSPF Interworking Issue

Post by flokad »

Hi!

I Have the following Network Diagram - see attached!

The following Configuration - see attached!

Router PEM1990 = R1
Router PEM1991 = R2

On these routers are also other components connected which speak OSPF/Static/etc.
There is an iBGP Connectivity on global bgp configured (bgp-vpn) but noch iBGP in VPRN!

The question is:
- which possibilities do I have to make the Link R1-Equipment to be primary and R2-Equipment to be backup (with these export policies that I have)?
- so that the traffic that arrrives to R1 goes directly to Equipment, and traffic arriving to R2 uses the Interconnection between R1-R2?

Any Idea?

Thanks,
Flo

R2 route-table shows that path from BGP with lowest preference(20) is preferred over OSPF (preference 150) and bgp-vpn(preference 170).
You can try adding static route towards R1 interface so that static takes precedence or increase bgp preference under neighbor context to a value above 150, so that OSPF route is more preferred.
