Are you sure you are connecting to the right IP?
Can you post the result of "more /etc/hosts"? And mention the IP to which you are connecting?

Well, FTP service is not running...why? no idea.
1. Try to restart and see any incidents coming up
2. Reinstall

Hi friend,
that is my past problem. i had solution for you;
you start VM
Dont start telephone app
login as mtcl user
type comand: netadmin
then you setup IP for your CS (do step by step carefull)
now you can use any FTP software to connect it.
i had successed on this.
remind: default IP that VM installed is 10.253.253.1 but you can not FTP to it

It's depend of which virtual interface you use with this VM.
You can modifie your virtual interface to have 10.253.253.10 IP address for example (but, when you load an OXE with a real interface, you can have problem if your 2 interfaces are in service).
Or, you can use 10.253.253.10 for real address on your LAN, and connect the VM with bridge on this interface.
In this case, you can use basic IP addressing on OXE.
