Another way you could try if you aren't getting any joy is the following (if you have a spare analog trunk and analog extension).
* Hotline the anolog extension to call the Door unlock extension (immediate)
* Wire the Spare trunk to the Analog extension above
* Put the trunk into its own group and create a new prefix to pick up this group
* Now create an abbreviatted dial code for picking up this trunk and transmitting the digits eg: *5090 transmits *00# (Prefix for Trunk) and 1234 (Code to open door).
* This abbreviated dial code can now be assigned to any key on a digital or IP phone or dialled as a speed dial from analog phone
