On my it got the following option:
Directory number:xxxx
Voicemail directory number:xxxx
Voicemail type:4635
Voicemail access without code: this is ticked
4635 voicemail type:voice mail

If you have 4635. Use V24 cable from 4635, connect to VM (with any terminal program). For VM box you can declear temporary password. When user will connect to VM he enter temporary password, after system ask him enter the new password.

This is the way we reset the password at the moment; however you would have thought that when you tick the box allow access voicemail without code would reset the password or at least allow you to get to voicemail without entering password.
Thanks!

If you want to connect to VM under mtcl account you have to install V24 VM cable (connection between VM and CPU box serial port C or D).
After that login to the system under mtcl, then use command:
(1)a4400a> wermit
C-Kermit 5A(179) BETA, 8 Feb 92, AT&T System V R3
Type ? or HELP for help
C-Kermit>set line /dev/scc0a or scc1a (scc0a means port C; scc1a means post D)
C-Kermit>connect
Now enter the VM passwd
If you want disconnect from VM and return to 4400 system use syntax: ctrl\c or ctrl/c
It works in Ux systems

You may also use a serial to IP converter so you don't have to be directly connected. I like Lantronix.

Is this solution only for Alcatel built-in voice mail ? or external (third-party voice mail) ?
As far as I know for third part you don't have to do that. Just delete or remove the password from the other voice mail platform.
