Cannot call Xlite SIP softphone from extensions

Thanks for the information, i've configure the extension as sip device and now seems to be working now, the calls are established and can talk : )

Now, the issue is that there is alot of noise in one of the phones, and sometimes i can bearly hear the other side.

Also how can i enable the features, such as call pick up, inmediate forward , transfer on the xlite phone? any ideas?

Hello Guys,

On the xlite sip phone i am using codec iLBC and is working fine, but when trying to dial outside to pstn network, it drops the call. For example: to dial outside i dial *6 , it should ask for a pin code, but this never
happens, i have check the public and private cos but it seems it is not letting me do it. any ideas?

Hi Enrique

As I know it isn't possible to use features with the extension as SIP device, you should use as SIP extension (since R9). I have a customer with this solution. I use the extension in OXE R9 as SIP extension, G729 codec, using Bria 3 softphone that has G729 support. It is working well. Maybe you have some sutiation with codecs. To enable features it is necessary to dial their codes. I got to do immediate forward, call pick up.

Thanks for the information. I configured the extension as sip extension but i got the issue that the calls could not be established with an OXO PBX. Now that i have configured the extension as sip device i can able to make the call, but the features are not available. Maybe is a licensing problem no? i am using the free sip xlite phone. Also when trying to dial the codes , it inmediately rejects the call.
Any other suggestion?

OXO? Wasn't it an OXE? OXO doens't have SIP extension or SIP device. Maybe you wrote wrong...

I sugest:

OXE with codec G729.
SIP Extension.
Softphone that has G729 support. Bria 3 has G729 ( you will need to pay for codec G729, US$ 9.00)

I don't think so. If you have created the extension you may have the license.

I think it is a problem because free xlite doens"t have codec G729.

How is your OXE set for codecs?

Thanks for the fast reply. Sorry , i think i went too ahead, i've started to configure the extension as sip extension and could'nt established the connections so neither the features were available, so i decided to configure it as sip device, after configuring it as sip device the calls could be established and talk each other with no problem inclusively calling to an oxo extension. So i decided to work the extensions as sip device and now that the calls can be established the features (transfer,forward ,etc.) are not available.

The license i mention , i meant the free xlite phone , maybe the xlite phone with licensing (paid) would include the functions , transfer, forward etc?

What do you think?

Yes, but with Bria 3 softphone, and as I know Bria 3 is an upgrade from xlite.
