OXE Two gateways on two different IP-VPN

Post by capeini »

Hi (OXE 9.0, common HW)

I have a OXE witch has been running for a while and now want to add a second gateway to the soultion

Default GW is 10.230.1.1/24
CS is 10.230.1.2/24 (main( (3/4 local)
GD is 10.230.1.5/24
GA is 10.230.1.7/24
Remote locations has 10.230.x.x/28 and works fine

The new gateway is 10.230.1.101/24 and is a IP-VPN with remote location on 10.231.x.x/24 subnets

I have added a static route on the call-servers and new DHCP-scopes. The test set at 10.231.10.x/24 subnett loads fine, and I'm able to make calls, but I don't get the audio from the GD/GA boards.

I then added a static route to the boards 10.231.0.0/16 towards GW 10.230.1.101, but this did not help. Only one-way audio.
When I reset the GD/GA, the routing table is back to what it was.

I also have a problem telnet from the call-servers (yes I know about ippstat/opt 21). I get connected, but then released. So I modified the hosts.allow file and got it to work. Again when I restarted the boards, the settings was back to the original.

How can I solve this? Will a static route on 10.230.1.1 towards the new IP-VPN solve this, or is there an other way?

Probably a RTP flow routing issue. talk to the guy that configures the routers.

I got a route configured on the 10.230.1.101 GW that points all traffic towards 10.230.x.x subnets towards the 10.230.1.1 gateway
That solved the issue

Seems like the GD/GA's dont like a static route configured
