QSIG rerouting on Alcatel

Post by darkman »

I have two stations - OXE R7.1 and Avaya S8300 with 2 bidirectional E1 links with QSIG protocol. All communictions is OK, but wa have one problem - call rerouting (another name - deflection) is not work. When call from OXE to Avaya is redirected by operator to OXE - we have two busy trunks.
In Avaya - QSIG rerouting is licensed and enabled. Can OXE support this function ?

If Avaya redirects the call I don't see why Alcatel should support it.
Did you put a tracer on one redirected call to see what Avaya sends you? Maybe Avaya sends you something that OXE can't translate.
Also check the Connection Category between the 2 trunks in Avaya and OXE.

Regards.

I think Darkman is after Route Optimisation.

You need to create a prefix for that feature from what I have seen. Though, I have never used it myself so I may be wrong.

QSIG-GF call deflection is supported since Release 3.
Check with t3 what is send if redirection and how OXE reacts to that.

check in SYSTEM if Route Optimisation is TRUE and create in TRANSLATOR/PREFIX the PABX ADDRESS in DPNSS (use a prefix with only numebrs not *,#, or A,B etc).
Trace with t3 the protocol on q-sig link.

best regards
