Hi guys,
one question about this, when you want to do an upgrade on BiCS, is it mandatory to have an external USB HD? Can't you use your laptop for this?

Thanks

Hi,

It's not mandatory to use an external USB HD, but it's better because you can save all your virtual machines before upgrade Bics and if you have problems during upgrade you can reload old virtual machines.
But I dont know if you can use a laptop as backup space, I think it's not possible unless you can use the laptop in NFS Server but without prejudice.

Regards

In newer BiCS versions you are allowed to save the data to network file systems (NFS), too. But if you are coming from 1.x 2.0.x it works with USB only.
