Crystal Hardware rel 9.1 CPU 7-2 , Limit of IP Touch

Post by ybelal »

Hi

I have seen that Alcatel enterprise system Release 9.0 support total number of 15,000 IT touch. Is it true for Appliance server only or true for crystal hardware cpu 7 or cpu 7-2 also? It would be very helpful if some expert here could confirm me the max number of IP Touch possible in crystal hardware cpu-7 release 9.1 and give some referance,Please.

Thanks.

15'000 for any CPU from R8. Exist some limit for PCS on CS-1 - max 5'000 extensions. 15'000 for PCS on CS-2.

our system is enterprise rel 9.1, hardware is crystal and cpu is 7-2, but someone from our local alcatel business partner saying like this
"""Once you reach 5000 users with Crystal HW, an appliance server CS is required; the embedded Crystal CPU board cannot be used. However, the appliance server can handle up to 15,000 users, including maximum of 5,000 users TDM. ""
what is he trying to say?? we can't go more than 5000 extension ( or ip extension) with our crystal hardwar cpu-7 rel 9.1??!! we must need to go for applience server for more then 5000 extension??!! please help with referance doc.

No difference. CPU7-2 or AS, both allow max 5000 TDM ( UA + Z ) , rest up 15'000 on IP sets.

Do you mean we can have upto 15,000 total extensions in CPU-7 REL 9.1 where TDM can be max 5000 and rest can be even all IP Touch ( arround 10,000) ? We don't need to go for applience server for that , our existing crystal hardware cpu-7-2 rel 9.1 is enough?

Will you explain clearly,please.

Actually we one node , crystal hardware cpu 7-2, rel 9.1. we have arround 3000 ext ( ua+z), now want to change all ua (digital phones) to ip touch and want to add more and more ip phones which in total may be arround 10000.( 1000 analog+ all 2000 digital will be changed to ip + several thousand additional ip ) . Now my question is, do we must go for Applience server or with this existing crystal hardware cpu 7-2 we can do that?

ooops. It looks that ACTIS doesn't allow more than 5000 on CPU7, require AS. Sorry.
Wasn't such info in Product limits document.

Accepts up to 5000 ( UA + Z + IPtouch ) on CPU7, up to 5000 ( UA + Z ) + x IPtouch on AS with common limit 15000 for all users on one node.
