SILENT - Dynamic key on incoming call

Post by swinstu »

I have a client who wants to stop all 8 and 9 series handsets that receive incoming calls by pressing dynamic key on left screen for SILENT. So they want to deactivate the "SILENT" feature that appears beside "Take Call"

Is it possible to program in software. Unable to find in categories, specific telephone facilities, system or even users.

I am guessing its built into the firmware of the handset but just need to double check.

Thanks

No do not disturb will be worse. Trying to make people answer their phones as they are hitting silent to avoid calls. These ext don't have voicemail and not in a call center.

Please advise if it is possible to deactivate the Silent option on incoming calls on 8&9 series handsets? So users cannot silent their extensions. (hope that is clear enough for a question)

I also think the same as believe its part of the phone firmware. Told customer to deploy call center instead to monitor agents who abandon calls etc.

thanks for your feedback. But if anyone has a different opinion or suggestion then please do provide input.
