Ask, 7750SR upgrade procedure

dear all, greeting from new member

i would like to upgrade working 7750SR router to R8, but i don't have any experience with ALU products, i only have experience with Cisco.
what procedure should i do?
is there any example to download image from tftp server?

can we just copy image folder, cpm.tim, and iom.tim to cf3 and edit the bof.cfg to boot from the folder?

Just copy the new image files to cf3: in whatever director you want to use (create a new one). In the bof, copy the primary-image info to the secondary-image. This is a fail-safe in case the primary image won't boot, the box will revert to the current working image.

Now set the primary-image to the directory you copied the new files too. Save the bof. Reboot.
