does anyone have any documentation comparing the Alcatel Lucent v Cisco.

just trying to get the heads up on the opposission. OXO and or OXE.

sorry - no docs.. but just ask your potential customer to google the following 2 phrases...
"Cisco telephony hacking"
&
"Alcatel telephony hacking"

(Shitco = hackers delight)

That is if they give a shit about that aspect.

Beyond that, mention the word "Pedigree". In telecommunications, Alcatel has it, Cisco does not. The only reason Shitco has any 'legs' in telecomms is because of, what I like to call, the 'Coke Cola' syndrome. Every IT department knows the word, despite the fact the drink will kill you eventually. On that basis, Alcatel is one of the 'Organic' options. [Ed. if i'm not mistaken... shitco actually hired the Coke Cola marketing exec many many years ago].

Damn, while we're at it... Alcatel even has better switching/routing gear than shitco.

Shitco = Better Marketting, Better Training, Better Box Shifting... Hence... defacto product. But that doesn't necessarily equate to a good product.... maybe an easy one... but def not a good one.... and for their fame??? like I said... Hackers delight!
