Phone resets

Post by alcatelletacla »

Hi guys, I have a site where IP Touch phones reset every once in a while. I have checked the LAN and the WAN logs and don't see anything unusual corresponding with the time of the
phone resets. I have found the following in the call server logs. I hope someone here can give me some idea as to what could be wrong with my setup.

What do the "Loss of a" messages indicate and what could be their cause?

Well, if GD/GD3 type board does restart, and some ipphones it must be the network.
Change "ping" and "loss" timers from 7 seconds to more - IIRC the top value was 30 second without a response not to restart.
Also - give more incidents, no info on too much Ethernet traffic? Maybe CPU launches the ARP or broadcast protection.
Some more info on CPU and architecture, maybe? Like, if you have one Crystali with CPU7 and the other is expansion via GD/INTIP/IPPhones, and main Crystal does work - only remote ip extensions go down, it's a big clue...

Are the resets random? Is Mac Security enabled on your switches?

That looks like a network issue if the GD / GA are going down too
