slow switch

hi all i have a 6250 switch and my printer is very slow i saw byte received are very less than tx,crc error frames is alos high,how can i fix this problem also i have complaint of files downloading is very slow,so how should i check the problem?is it due to less port speed if yes then how should i check port speed

You see Errors on the interfaces (increasing?):
show interfaces counters errors

If yes: how are your ports configured? It sounds like you have set one side (printer or switch) to a static speed, while the other side is autosensing.

try autosensing on both sides

interfaces 1/1 speed auto
interfaces 1/1 duplex auto
..
..
(this setiing is default) so check your config ( or show interfaces status) to see what is configured.

Check at printer whether they use autosensing as well.

hi devnull thanks at one side the switch autonegotiation mode was off while at other switch which has printer connected to it has auto mode ON so speed of internet users andd printer was slow i guess am i right
