802.1x and getnoeversion

Post by Moggey123 »

Hi board.

I have a new customer that has just rolled out 2033 ip handsets, to keep the cost down they decided to deploy the handsets themselves.
We have now discovered that a large number of handsets were configured with 802.1x enabled by mistake and we are now getting issues.

When we run getnoeversion to see which handsets have 802.1x enabled we only get back 287 results. see txt below

Begin the inventory of all Alcatel 8&9 Series phones registered on that node ?
Choose between 2 output file types (x for xml, c for csv, q to quit) (x/c/q) c
.. 13% achieved .. 20% achieved .. 30% achieved ..getnoeversion ended 2013-01-17 at 10:12:52
getnoeversion ... 287 extensions retrieved out of 2033 configured in management.
getnoeversion ... inventory file path is /DHS3dyn/mao/getnoeversion.csv.Z
Copy of inventory file on stand by cpu succeeded.

I logged an Esr with Alcatel-Lucent but they have come back and said that this is down to a buffer restriction and this cant be changed as it is used to stop the cpu's slowing down and normal output is around 255 handsets.

I have tried this on a few other sites and all results are around the 250-280 mark.

My question is apart from visiting or telneting to each handset ( very time consuming with 2033) is there another way to see which handsets have 802.1x set

Many thanks in advance

Moggey
