Hei there,
I have a problem with the UM voicemail on an OTBE 1.2.
I configured it, like it is shown in the Installation Manual (I created the Exchange- and Transfer-Servers under Eco system, used the Exchange Web Services etc.) and when I talk on the voicemail box of the user, the message is recorded.
When I look into his e-mail account, I see the message under "sent objects", but the mail is not showing up in his "inbox".
I looked on the OT under /logs/tomcat/VoiceApplications and in the va_traces.log I see the following error:
ERROR [ajp-10009-9] com.alcatel.ecc.ex2007.EX2007CMailbox
(Ex2007CMailbox.java:236) - send ex2007 message failed to recipients=[E-Mail adress of the costumer], from=unknown
And I think the problem is, that the e-mail is sent from an unknown user.
Is there a way to configure the OpenTouch, so that the e-mail is not sent from an unknown user?
Sincerely
OTBE 1.2 with UM voicemail - "From: unknown"

hi,
I have got this issue in R1.1, the email account is an administrator one?
if it is the case, it is your problem, the email account must not be administrator...
regards
Olivier

Hi,
Go to Configuration/OT Node/Configure/System Services/Applications/Notification/cmsNotification and fill in the Notification Sender Name and Notification Sender Email Address.
I suggest that you fill in also the System Services/Topology/SMTP Sender/SMTP Sender parameters.
Hope it works.

Thanks for your replies.
I filled in both cmsNotification and SMTPSender and it works properly for every user, except one.
The funny thing is, that this Exchange-user has an admin-account, so it seems to be right what ovaillant told before.
Maybe it is a rights problem with Exchange 2010?
How did you solve the problem, ovaillant?
It's really odd...

Hi,
The problem was solved on my side, the customer as changed the rights of the user on exchange, to remove the administrator one.
This is a bug on exchange, not and the OT...
Regards
Olivier

No bug, works as designed, it is a security issue. Admins are that, admins, not working users. It is a bad use of people who wants to rule everything on the domain
