Dear All,
I have the need to deactivate one DECT and replace it with a 4028 IP Phone.
The 4028 IP phone is assigned to extension 3403 and the DECT to 3555 with no tandem.
The outcome should be that 3555 stays as the IP phone and DECT to be reprogrammed as 9999.
I do assume it involves
a) deregestering the dect
b) cancel extensions 3555 and 3403
c) configure the extension 3555 with profile for IP phone as handset type
d) reconfigure the IP phone for the correct extension
e) create new extension 9999 and assign it with DECT profile
f) reactivate the DECT
However, I have no idea how to steps a) d) and f).
Can someone of you gurus give me an idea?
Thank you so much!

Re: Swapping GAP+ with IP
Hello,
i would do it like this:
1.)
- filter and export the two extensions in Omnivista 4760 (when availabel, its easier this way if there are many programmable keys used)
or
- look at the users on the console via mgr (if you use a terminal-programm like zoc its easy to copy the settings and
paste it into a text-file (i use zoc and notepad++)
Attention: if there are mailboxes (type 4635 or 4645) set on the users, they will be deleted when you delete the users !! (bad if its the extension of the boss
)
2.)
- if you have physical access to the ip-phone, you can delete the extension 3403 (and register it again with entering the new extension on the phone when finished with configuration),
otherwise
- if its placed in another location first copy the mac-adress before deleting, which is located under /users/tsc-ip and paste it in the new extension when finished (the phone will then connect automatic with the new extension)
3.)
- deregistrate the dect-set (which should be turned on) via the console with "dectrm 3555",enter,y,enter
- delete the extension 3555
- turn off the dect-set
4.)
- omnivista: change the extension numbers in the export-file of the omnivista and import the users with the new extension-numbers
or
- mgr: create the users with the new extension-numbers and the settings you copied into the text-file.
5.)
- turn on the dect-set, registrate the new dect-user on the console with "dectinston 9999" ,enter, enter, enter and by pressing "ok, ok, ok" on the dect-set
- registrate the ip-phone by typing the extension-number on the phone + password of the user
or
- copy the mac-address of the phone into /user/tsc-ip of the extension 3555
finished
