4645 longer PIN Code

Hi Guys,
system docu...Use the longest available PIN codes (8 characters instead of 3 characters) allowed by the password
policy to prevent easy brute force attacks. On 4635, it is from 1 to 15 digits.

I want to use 6 digits on 4645 (3-8 characters possible). Where can i config that? If i use eva_tool i can create new password for example 6 digits. If User connect his Mailbox and use the new password the system said select new Password. Thtas ok, but he can only use 4 digits for new Password.

I want that user must set up 6 digits. Thats security police from customers IT admin.

Hello,

after taking a look into the dokumentation and a running pbx its not possible to set a minimum length of the voicemail-password.

You can only set a 4-digit-password that must be changed by the user, and its in the responsibility of the user
to set a password between 3 and 8 digits.

The only possibility to get a little bit more security is to disable trivial passwords in the class of service (mgr /applications/voice mail/4645 vm class of service)

Yes, i know. I have disabled trivial PW and so on.
My customers IT Admin wants 6 digits for all users. Customer and i myself cannot accept that is responsibility of the user.
This is basic security step in Admin level.

another Problem with 4645 voice Guide. We have 2 languages English and German.
4645 say:
English: Please enter a three to eight digit personal password
German: Bitte geben Sie ein vierstelliges (4 digit) persönliches Passwort ein.

Yeah, looks like a bug by design.
If you check Eva messages it's a complete mess - this message (No 336) in Italian "Prego comporre le quattro cifre del codice segreto.", Spanish "Por favor, introduzca las cuatro cifras del código personal.", Spanish Latin America "Por favor, introduzca una contraseña personal de tres a ocho dígitos"
