CLI Persistent index file not saved.

Post by didigno »

*A:SR-1# admin save
Writing configuration to cf3:\SR-1.cfg
Saving configuration ... OK

Completed.
WARNING: CLI Persistent index file not saved.

Does anyone know what is the warning above and knows how can I fix this issue? the router will keep the * even though I saved the config.

Thanks

You presumably have "persist on" in your BOF (check the output of "show bof").

The persistence file has an .ndx extension and is in the same location as your config file. You could try renaming the existing ndx file on both the active and standby flash and trying the admin save again.

The persist is on as you said. However I saw that the start disappear a while ago...

Do you know if is possible to test it with the alcatel lab, so I test and see this by myself?

I haven't tried it but you could try using the "file attrib" command to make the persist file read-only then doing an "admin save" and seeing if it reproduces the error. You could try this on the persist file on either the active or standby CPM (i.e on the cf3-A: or the cf3-B: filesystem).

try to delete useless files in active CF3 such as tec support file which not used, as i know that warning comes if too much data in CF3,
