Alcatel Riverstone 15101 console access question

I have had no luck with finding anything about these units on Google, and so far I have only found sites selling them.
I have two of these old Riverstone 15101 units and I can't get anything useful out of the console port.
All that I get is junk. I am using putty, and I have tried a Cisco cable, a Lucent cable, and a Cat5 Ethernet cable with serial dongle. It doesn't matter what cable I use all that I seem to get is junk. Do these units require a specific pin-out to be able to get valid output, and if so does anyone know what the pin-out is?

Any info would be most welcomed.
