OXO Blocked

Post by jean.garzon »

Dear All, i have a problem with an oxo that becomes blocked without any periodicity asociated. The problem is that without any warning the system just blocked itself, users don´t have any dial tone, UA set phone display just blacked out, and the only solution is to make a warm reset. I had upgrade the cpu to the latest release, make lola, replace all the hardware except the telephone devices (including the CPUe-2and cabinets), the boards are installed correctly where actis showed for this configuration, and i really dont know what else to do. I´m taking out the traces trough the Config port, and i can see different error events, like problem at layer 2 of the two PRA-T2 ISDN links, and as a matter of fact when the block occurs i can see the layer 2 problem in the historic and anomalies at OMC. On the other hand i can see that some boards just dissapear, yes i know it sound weird but thats what it says, and finally it just goes for a panic reset......I would appreciate if any of you have had some similar experience, or maybe have an idea to do something because i think i have tried it all. Thanks for your time.

Re: OXO Blocked

Hi,
Maybe your problem relates to the 2 ISDN connections. Which are your clock delivery priorities on the 2 accesses? You must use 2 different values like 210 and 220. The one with 210 is the one that deliveres clock to the system. Maybe this is your problem. Try to copy tour traces and hystory of anomalies here maybe someone can interpret that for you.

Regards.

Thanks for your answer, i can´t atach any document for my profile, but if someone know how to read it please give me your e-mail and i´ll sent it to you. Regarding to the clocks, the recommendation was to uncheck the clock delivery because it supposed to be given by the carrier....am i right??

From what I saw in your traces I think you have an overheating problem forcing your CPU to reboot and your hard disk to have problems. The software anomaly I think is a collateral problem as your hard disk has problems and losses files (it tries to recover in traces). I think your hard disk is corrupted. I recommend you to change it, to check if the temperature of the room is proper (19 Degrees Celsius) and reinstall the software using LOLA. If you will meet these 3 recommendation I think your problems will come to an end.

Regarding the settings on the PRA T2 board (I'm not sure about this though - it's been a while since programming an OXO) you should uncheck clock delivery and put 210 value in the box below one of them and 220 (or 230) for the second one.

Regards.

(From your trace:
THROTTLING: Critical local(BOARD) temperature set to 72 °C
Critical remote(CPU) temperature set to 92 °C ---> temperature problem
