OXE 4400 + IP Touch 4018

Post by gurioste »

Gurus,

I have a situation where I need to register new extensions (IP Touch 4018 phones) on an OXE 4400 (v10).

Whenever I try to create a new extension via Omnivista, I get the following error (the interface is set to Spanish):

> Crear \xa000001\Abonado::4283
Bloq. 316/317(usua. estánd.): error protección soft.

I pulled the "Active file" information on telnet (spadmin > Display active file (option #2) and this is what it had among other lines:

316 M Standard Reflexes users = 0/0
317 M Standard IP users = 169/0
318 XML IPTouch-IP engine = 0
175 M Mobile users = 0/0
176 M Advanced IP users = 1/170

Here's the entire file in case anyone wants to check it out: http://tinyurl.com/o5sy3vq

I thought that having Advanced IP users would be enough to register new extensions with 4018's, but it seems like these phones either don't go under "advanced" or something else is missing.

Would anyone be able to throw some light into my question?

Thanks in advance,
G

if you have advanced ip users license than you can allways use this licenses to install normal ip users. but take into account that you have to summarize the output in spadmin to discover the used licenses.

for summarize you have to use the "+" sign between the two numbers. never use the "-", "*" or "/" !

^^ just kidding ^^

just take the sum of the lines:

Code: Select all

  176 M Advanced IP users = 0/ 142

  317 M Standard IP users = 1/ 0
in this example 1 standard ip user is in database programmed and 142 advanced and standard ip users are possible.

Thank you @tgn again for the explanation.

And I might be asking a pretty dumb question again, but shouldn't I have available slots given the information I shared? Maybe I did not understand how the sum has to be done....

176 M Advanced IP users = 1/170
317 M Standard IP users = 169/0

Is it 169 + 1 = 170 meaning I have 170 out of 170 slots used? And no more slots are available :) ?

Thank you,
G

That is correct and reason why you have that error when trying to create user 171

hi cav,
difference between srandard and advanced is level of assigned multilines and the corresponding features , a subscriber set is advanced, if it has more than one multiline.
