hi all. new to this forum and would just like to say hello to all u alcatel guys,
just wondered if any of you had any programming docs for a 4200c, have some basic programming steps from the phone user guide, i am familiar with setting up phone system via keypad (nortel, panasonic, toshiba systems, have been in comms 25 yrs). any help would be appreciated.

I remember the Telic 1600 Pbx which was the predecessor of the Alcatel 4200 c/d/e systems.
Say, during the 80's.

4200c is the same like D, but in smaller number of subscribers and lines. You can found one 4200c in DECT coverage tool suitcase.

thank you all for ur replies but i have another question, can u connect a laptop to this system via the 9 way d-types and if so what programme tool do i need.

The software tool called PCMMC. There are exist different versions, I think, the latest one - paa422_28_0. You need a direct cable with DB9 on both ends. For management 3 wire enough, connecting pins 2,3 and 5 on DB9.
