SIP TRUNK OXE TO OXO

Post by gyiasoumas »

Hello everyone,
I created a DEMO for a new installation, in order to connect OXE R10.0 with an OXO R10.1 via SIP trunk. The OXE is already deployed in Cyprus and the OXO will be deployed in Malta. The SIP connection between them is successful in terms of internal calls. The problems I am facing are the following 2:
1. If someone from Cyprus wants to call a Maltese number, to use the OXO as a transit. On both system no. 0 is the ARS prefix for external ISDN calls. I've in the Disc. Rule of OXE the international code of Malta (00356) and I send the phone call with ARS through the SIP trunk. I remove the first five numbers and I add 0. The call fails though.
2. When I call internally from OXE to OXO (or vice versa), on OXO I can see the name of the OXE user. On OXE I see Bxxxx. Also when an OXO user leaves unanswered call on an OXE user, this call is displayed as an External unanswered call instead of Internal.

If anyone has any ideas on how to solve these problems, it would be very helpful. Thanks in advance

Hi,

1. What does "call fails" exactly means?? what is the behaviour? Do you have any trace?

2. You have to create an External Callback translation rule. Look for it in documentation,

Hi, and thanks for the reply,
1. As soon as I enter the international code the system stops the call and says Not authorized. I traced the call and I saw that the system, instead of sending 0@remote_location sends 0@local_location. I checked from the ARS that I correctly send it to the SIP trunk and I am really out of options.

2. This is the way that I bypassed my problem, and the callback is made from ARS through the SIP trunk. I just thought that this is a workaround solution and I was looking for a "real" solution. Any suggestions about the issue of not receiving the name from OXO on OXE?

For>
2 declare the trunk as private on both ends.
1 You need to use ARS and send all the external number to OXO adding OXO ars seizure prefix in front of the external number. In the private numbering plan in OXO the external seizure has to be defined. Also you need joining between the trunks and rights on the SIP trunk to be able to dial through ars.

Also pay attention to the SIP number canonical format on both OXE and OXO

Read Oxe docs, you will find how to configure oxe there.
About oxo, there are many posts already here on how to configure the ARS tables
