Blocked incoming calls for some numbers

Post by kfz »

Hi,

We are using OmniVista 4760 in our company. We have about 200 numbers an for some numbers (all the numbers begin with "4") we have a problem with incoming calls outside our company. Internal calls work fine, but when somebody is trying to call this number from cell phone or stationary phone outside out company it is impossible - "the chosen number in unavailable".

Could you please help me to resolve this problem?

Well your diagnosis is very vague. 4760 is just a configuration software, a GUI, not your pbx.
So you have oxe or oxo?
What type of trunks?
How are they configured?
By the error I would suspect that you have 90 channels for example and your did range is not enough for 200 numbers (200 > 90)
Maybe you have an automated attendant... In that case you need to check AA category maybe.

Would suggest to hire an expert on site to help you

OXE j2.501.
Where can I check type of trunks?

I found in Translator/External numbering plan/DDI Numbering translator that there is no range for 4xx numbers. I have ...387, range size 13 and then 500, range size 100. I tried to increase range size but it didn't help.

Range 387 with size 13, means it goes up to 400. Increase that range up to your max 4xx series.
Then do a T3 trace and compare the incoming number with the one on your range

I decreased range to 10 and then number 398 stopped working (from outside the company), but when I increased range to 93, numbers 440, 441 etc still don't respond. :/

1 - for DID rules changing - ask your provider. 387 range size 13 - your PBX wait numbers from 387 till 399 and provider send this numbers. If you just manage range size 113 (from 387 till 499) - your PBX wait this numbers but what about providers management (will provider send numbers 4xx to your PBX or not)?
2 - t3 trace - this a trace after command "t3" :) - you will see messages exchange between your and adjacent PBX.

Ok, but how can I run this tracing? Is there in 4760 some kind of command prompt or an application to run t3 trace?
