OS6450 et 6850 RING topology issue

Bonjour,
Je suis nouveau sur ce forum, je suis débutant sur la gamme OS, j'ai un bonne connaissance réseau de marque concurrente.
je suis entrain de configurer une topologie en anneau (RING), qui composée de 14 switch ( 12 * OS 6450 et 2 * 6850).

j'ai pas de licence ERP, j'ai laissé RSTP activé sur les switch, et j'ai changé la priority sur les 2* OS6850 ( priority 10 et 12)

quand je ferme la boucle, le ping ne passe plus.

Ma question :
est ce que ce type de topologie est Supportée ? 14 switch en anneau.

y a -t-il des recommandations pour ce type de topologie?

Hello,

I'm new in this forum, and I have small knowlodge regarding switch OS, but I have a good knowledge competing brand network.

I am trying to set up a ring topology (RING), which consists of 14 switch (12 * 2 * OS 6450 and 6850).

I have no ERP license, the RSTP is enabled on the switch with default parameters, I just changed the priority of the 2 * OS6850 (priority 10 and 12)

When the loop is made, the ping no longer passes.

My questions:

Is this type of topology is Supported? 14 switch in the ring. Is there a maximum of nods?

Are there recommendations for this type of topology? Changing RSTP parameters?

RSTP should handle that well, we had a scenario with similar amount of switches afaik the limit is around 50 switches.

Are you sure you are running rstp? This is not default - default is 1x1 means Per Vlan Rapid Spanning tree) - do you connect other (vendors) switches as well?


Show config/some show commands.
I do not understand priority 10 & 12, as it should afaik still (as all vendors) be multiples of 4096 - how did you configure?

My configurations are very simple, please see attached files configuration for two Switchs (OS6850 and OS6450).
I just see that the spanning is 1X1. Could you confirm please?
That means I must change the mode to RSTP to support This design (Ring)?
Regarding priority, I agree with you, it will be multiple of 4096, but I can changed it in the OS 6850 to 10 & 12.
