OTMS upgrade from 2.0.1 to 2.2

We have a three-year support (software) contract with Alcatel partner.They recommend to upgrade the current version of the OTMS 2.0.1 to 2.2, claims we must replace the existing hardware: 16 2Ghz CPUs, 20GB RAM, 500GB disk... how do I check if they were right or not.

What server model do you have?
